Volunteer Receptionist
Location: Three Hills
Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview: The Volunteer Receptionist will provide essential front-desk support and create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors and clients. This role involves answering phone calls, greeting visitors, and assisting with administrative tasks to help ensure smooth day-to-day operations. The Volunteer Receptionist will be an integral part of the team, representing the organization’s professionalism and commitment to supporting residents.
Key Responsibilities:

Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate department or staff member.

Answer incoming phone calls, provide information, and direct calls to the correct person.

Assist with signing in guests and maintaining the visitor log.

Perform general clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing office supplies.

Maintain the reception area, ensuring it remains clean and welcoming.

Assist in scheduling appointments or meetings and managing calendars.

Handle basic inquiries and provide general information about the organization’s services.

Ensure the security of the premises by monitoring who enters and exits the building.

Provide support to other staff members with administrative or office tasks as needed.
Qualifications:

Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor.

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, email, and data entry).

Ability to multitask and handle a busy reception area.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

A positive attitude and a willingness to help.

Willing to sign a confidentiality agreement.
Experience & Education:

Previous experience in a receptionist, administrative, or customer service role is preferred but not required.
