Monday Mentions - November is Fall Prevention Month

Every year, many older adults fall. After a fall, many people are unable to live the way they want. They may lose their independence or live in fear of falling again. Falls are not a natural part of getting older. Falls can be prevented and Finding Balance can help.

Finding Balance is an education program and public awareness campaign designed to educate and empower older Albertans to stay independent and prevent falls. Seniors can prevent falls by keeping active to improve their strength and balance, reviewing their medications yearly, and by visiting their eye doctor for a yearly eye exam for more information and resources, go to https://findingbalancealberta.ca/
